A tempting offer has popped up at an auction in Great Britain: a 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS with 450 kilometers (280 miles) under its belt.
The car is reported to be in perfect condition, which is not that surprising given the average use barely making 15 km/year (10 miles/year). Perhaps the owner was too fond of his/her vehicle to actually use it. In automotive jargon, such cars are often dubbed ‘time capsules’, and they are not exactly a rare sight at auctions.
Powering the legendary Italian coupe is a 3.2-liter V8 rated at 270 hp (200 kW), which is linked to a five-speed manual transmission. Accelerating from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 5.5 seconds, which may seem sluggish by modern standards, but was considered superb back in the 1980s.
The asking price for this particular Ferrari 328 GTS is roughly equivalent to U.S. $150,000, which is decent if you consider its state.
