Wanted to see a Ferrari SUV? Here’s an example… from 1975

The Italian icon of luxury sports car craftsmanship may still be working on its first crossover utility vehicle, but tuners aren’t the kind to be idly waiting.

Depicted here is a heavily modified version of a Ferrari 308 Dino GT4 issued back in 1975. What used to be a 2+2 coupe became a two-seater to accommodate the numerous powertrain improvements.

According to the tuner, the 3.0-liter V8 stays in place, but gains much power thanks to the modern mods. The original performance is 240 hp (180 kW), and the new specs are not available yet.

The main difference from the standard-issue Dino comes in the form of the custom chassis and suspension designed by DriverSource from Texas, USA. This includes adaptive shock absorbers, height-adjustable springs, and 15-inch wheels clad in high-profile tires. The steering column has been tweaked, the headlights now use Hella diodes, and the front bumper with towing eyes is new, too.

The off-roading Ferrari took $26,000 USD to build.
