Amalgam Collection, a manufacturer of top-notch luxury car replicas, has unveiled the fruit of its latest collaboration with Ferrari: a 1:8 reproduction of the 296 GTB. The detailing on the model is every bit as impressive as the €12,067 asking price.
The limited-edition toy car was made based on the original Ferrari blueprints and with all the OEM specifications in mind. The designers referenced OEM color codes to ensure that all finishes look 100% authentic.
Ferrari Centro Stile has officially approved the design, praising the painstaking precision with which Amalgam detailed the headlights, the exterior carbon and the cabin with red stitching on the seats and actual dash gauges.
Coming up with the prototype took around 3,000 workhours. The company says that all replicas are hand-assembled and take 300 hours to produce each. A total of 199 units will be made. A smaller, 1:12 reproduction is expected to go on sale later at a certain discount compared to its larger counterpart.
