Ferrari ramps up hybrid EV share to 43% in Q2 2023

Ferrari has posted two sales reports this week – for the second quarter of 2023 and the entire first half. According to the former, the Italian sports car maker has sold 3,392 hybrid vehicles from April through June – 43 percent of all cars sold over those months and twice as many compared to the same period the year before.

The current Ferrari lineup comprises nine vehicles (counting all body style variations), four out of which are hybrid-electric. These are the models SF90 (shown here) and 296.

As for the semiannual sales, the company managed to move 6,959 cars from January through June – just 4% more than in H1 2022. Most of them were 296 GTB, Roma and Portofino M models.

Despite the overall success of the hybrids, Ferrari is still reluctant to go full-on electric. The company’s first battery EV will not debut until at least 2025, according to the official schedule.
