Raise your eyebrows at this four-decade-old Ferradi 400i stretch limo

A rather unconventional four-door stretch limo with a 1981 Ferrari 400i at its core found a new owner at an auction a few days ago. The car had around 24,000 kilometers (15,000 miles) on the odo, and we were unable to find what the top bid was.

The listing provides very little information, but what we do know is that the tuner had the body lengthened to over six meters (20 feet) and painted in white. Both the exterior and the cabin are allegedly in near-pristine condition with barely any use on them. The OEM wheel set is included, and the passenger space offers four plush leather seats alongside an Alcantara floor.

The original 400i was a rare sight on the roads even back in its era, and came powered by a naturally aspirated V12 rated at 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) and around 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. We are not aware of any modifications made to this vehicle, but if it keeps the original mill running, the new owner might find its power somewhat lacking by modern standards, especially considering the added size and weight.

Interestingly enough, a very similar-looking Ferrari limo was exhibited at the 2013 Concorso Ferrari show. Back then, media said it could lend itself to a variety of applications ranging from chauffeur-driven family limo through party ride to an office or conference room on wheels.
