According to Automotive News Europe, Ferrari had pre-sold its entire batch of Daytona SP3 supercars to interested clients before it had a chance to introduce it to the general public.
The production quantity is limited to 599 units, which is 100 units more than the previous instalment in the Icona series – the Monza SP1 and SP2 – had. We are told that all 499 Monza buyers wished to add a Daytona to their collection as well, leaving just 100 more cars for ‘carefully picked collectors’ to purchase.
The Daytona SP3 is a Targa-bodied supercar with 1960s-era racer looks, a 6.5-liter V12 under the hood rated at 840 PS (828 hp / 618 kW) and 697 Nm (514 lb-ft) of torque, and a minimum sticker of €2,000,000.
