How do you go about tuning a sports car worth a few hundred thousand euros? The correct answer is: very carefully. Luckily for us, tuners over at Creative Bespoke realize it well, as evidenced by this recent Ferrari 458 Italia.
The ultra-opulent convertible wears an aerodynamic kit called Aperta Carbon. As you can guess, it imitates the looks of a much more expensive supercar, the Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta. However, this is not a case of plagiarism as much as a well-conceived, creative re-imagination of the source material. Included are a ventilated hood, fenders with carbon-trimmed air louvers, longer side skirts, new aprons, a diffuser, a bulky ducktail spoiler, and smaller trim parts to round things off.
The Italian convertible rides on Vossen VPS-314T wheels painted matte grey and wrapped in Pirelli tires. Affordable, yet reliable H&R springs provide the necessary lowering, and the main paintwork once again references the Aperta. A see-through ceramic lacquer coating protects it from scratches and dents.
This is not all, though. According to Creative Bespoke, the car has been tuned to deliver 488 GTB-like levels of performance. No specific numbers are being provided, but the modifications were reportedly limited to a new exhaust system and an ECU tune.
