This Ferrari 458 Italia was confiscated from its former owner, but rather than crushing it like their colleagues from Philippines do, the Czech police department chose to add it to its fleet of patrol vehicles.
A representative of the department assured us that only duly trained and authorized police officers would ever be allowed to drive the dangerously fast Italian supercar. Furthermore, it is mostly intended to be used to chase after only the most aggressive road offenders, as well as to chase after and recover stolen cars.
Retrofitting the coupe for pursuit duty allegedly required around 340,000 Czech Krona (you could buy a new Skoda Scala for about the same money). The works performed included a new exterior finish (hopefully a wrap), installing video cameras, a radio, flashing beacons and more.
