Carlex Design has unveiled another one of its works: a re-trimmed Ferrari 458 Italia with new wheels. For once, we officially know how much it cost – €38,675.
The 458 Italia, which went out of production in 2015 (see video), ended up with a luxurious trim in black and yellow leather meant to resemble the colors of sunset. Some Alcantara also made it into the mix, largely used on the ceiling and the dash panel.
Working in its usual fashion, Carlex left virtually no surface uncovered with its new trim. The leather parts in the middles of the seats were perforated for ventilation purposes, and the steering wheel also received special treatment involving leather and carbon-fiber bits.
On the outside, the car remained stock except for 20-inch wheels worth €12,000 per set. The boutique has already confirmed that a similar makeover is available for everyone willing to pay for it.
