Ferrari 488 GT Modificata breaks cover as a pure track weapon

Ferrari has brought out the 488 GT Modificata, a track-only racecar not bound by any specific racing regulations and representing a mix between the 488 GTE and GT3. Prices and production volume remain to be announced.

Like the 488 GT3 and GTE, the newcomer relies on a 3.9-liter bi-turbo V8 for propulsion, but the mill gains additional 50 PS and now outputs 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW). The transmission gets its share of reinforcements, suspension stems from the 488 GTE, and Brembo provides the brakes. The body kit is a one-off design perfected at the Nürburgring.

The equipment includes a rearview camera, one passenger’s seat, tire pressure control, and an advanced telemetry system.
