The Italian automaker has released a promotional video featuring its one-off KC23 racecar that made it debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The footage puts an emphasis on active aerodynamic panels.
The track-only KC23 model was built with the 488 GT3 as a starting point and was stylistically inspired by the Vision Gran Turismo and the 499P. One of its distinct visual cues comes in the form of butterfly-wing doors.
Unlike the donor 488 GT3, the car in the video makes use of active aerodynamic parts. The side panels are movable and can open up to reshape the airflow. It also uses video cameras in place of conventional mirrors, which improves visibility while also reducing drag.
Ferrari is apparently still not ready to reveal any engine-related info, but we assume the racecar is using the company’s signature 3.9-liter V8.
