Taiwanese tuner comes up with a Ferrari 488 GTB body kit

Taiwan-based tuning shop Zacoe has unveiled a carbon-fiber aerodynamic kit for the Ferrari 488 GTB, which it designed based on the rich history of China.

The kit is called ChiTu after the horse that belonged to Lu Bu, a famous general of the Three Kingdoms era that a book written in the 14th century proclaimed China’s best warrior in history. The horse donned an armor suit of its own.

Included in the package are carbon-fiber bumper extensions, side sill overlays, a rear wing, a set of wheels, and a valve-controlled exhaust system. A standard 3.9-liter V8 under the hood makes 670 PS (661 hp / 493 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft), which a pre-selective seven-range DCT sends to the rear axle.

Only five such kits will be made and sold for an unspecified price. Zacoe believes that buying one enables customers to “rise above other Ferrari owners” by “riding a battle horse instead of a regular stallion.”
