First official photos showing a high-performance new model of the Ferrari 488 GTB named Pista have been published online by the manufacturer. The vehicle should debut any day now.
The car is said to be the main market competitor of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. It comes with a seriously improved 4.8L V8 engine capable of 711 hp. Owing to the use of state-of-the-art materials and technology, it weighs in under 1,300 kilograms (<2,860 lbs.).
Given its fiery heart and fit shape, it isn’t surprising that the new Ferrari 488 Pista can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under three seconds. The manufacturer remained silent about its top going speed, but it can be safely expected to lie above 340 km/h (211 mph).
There is still no official debut date, but industry professionals tend to agree that when it does get released it’s going to cost no less than £215,000.
