Following the passing of rock music legend Eddie van Halen, GottaHaveRockandRoll is now selling his 20-year-old Ferrari 550 Maranello.
The musician, who succumbed to cancer in early October, was the only owner of the car and had it retrofitted for motorsports, adding a roll cage and bucket seats with five-point harnesses. The vehicle has around 45,000 km (28,000 miles) under the belt and is expected to go for U.S. $200,000 - $350,000.
Ferrari produced its Maranello two-seater in 1996 – 2002, fitting every unit with a 5.5-liter V12 rated at 485 PS (478 hp / 357 kW) and 568 Nm (419 lb-ft) of torque. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, the mill took the RWD coupe from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in four seconds flat and then all the way to 320 km/h (199 miles per hour).
