Around two years ago, Netherlands-based tuner Niels van Roij Design announced a challenging and time-consuming conversion project, intending to turn a Ferrari 550 Maranello into a lookalike of the iconic 250 GT SWB. The latest video shows considerable progress in this regard.
The original Ferrari 250 GT SWB got its nickname “Breadvan” from its stretched, wagon-like roof. Niels van Roij took great care to reproduce this feature in his project while taking a few liberties with the rear clip. The revived Breadvan is now mere weeks away from its official premiere, but car collectors will be missing out on it: it is a one-off build, and the tuner has no plans for another.
