An auction centered on a rare Ferrari 599 will be held in a few days from now. The vehicle is part of a limited series of 30 cars produced in 2007 with manual transmission. It only has around 17,000 kilometers (approx. 10,500 miles) on its odometer.
Several of its units and parts have been replaced with new ones before the sale announcement, including the accumulator. The holder of the auction hopes to get up to U.S. $500,000 out of the deal.
It’s perhaps worth mentioning that one of the car’s previous owners had been the famous American baseball pitcher C. J. Wilson.
The original Ferrari 599 debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2006. It came equipped with a mighty 6.0L V12 capable of 620 hp and could accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in trifling 3.2 seconds.
