A recent drift race in California, USA, has been marred by an unfortunate incident when a one-of-a-kind drift vehicle custom-built upon a Ferrari 599 GTB combusted in a fiery inferno soon after crossing the start line. The pilot managed to get out alive and safe, but the gorgeous 930-hp strong racecar lost its front part to the fire almost completely.
Creators of the drift-ready Ferrari 599 GTB retrofitted its stock V12 engine with two turbine chargers, taking its performance from 630 hp (470 kW) all the way to 930 hp (695 kW). The car received a six-speed manual transmission, sports suspension, 20-inch large light alloy wheels, and an aerodynamic body kit.
