The Prancing Horse is adamant about leaving its V12 powertrain naturally aspirated with no forced induction of any kind.
Ferrari’s latest supercar, the 12Cilindri, packs a 6.5-liter non-turbo twelve-pot rated at a healthy 830 PS (819 hp / 610 kW). The company says it had already conducted the research necessary to make it Euro 6e compliant. Keeping the mill naturally aspirated is a matter of principle: it’s all about keeping alive the spirit and the emotions associated with traditional supercars.
At the same time, the company’s V6 and V8 lineups have long been running on twin-turbo power.
