Ferrari launches special 488 Pista not for everyone

A special edition of the Ferrari 488 Pista, titled “Piloti Ferrari”, has recently debuted at the 24 Hours Le Mans. The vehicle will only be available to those who actively participate in the Ferrari motor racing events.

The luxury series features a body painted in the colors of the Italian national flag. The same livery can be found on Ferrari 488 GTE racecars participating in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The number “51” references the sports car that won the championship in 2017.

Aside from the above, every vehicle features a carbon rear wing, black front bumper details, Alcantara-draped seats, and a paddle shifter. The Italian flag theme carries over into the interior of the car, decorating the upper seat backs and some other parts. The central console holds a plaque with a unique VIN number of the Ferrari 488 Pista Piloti Ferrari, while the steering wheel is adorned with the abovementioned winning number “51”.

The series comes equipped with a 3.9-liter, 720hp / 537kW strong V8 engine that allows it to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 2.8 seconds and top out at 340 km/h (211 mph).

The Italian manufacturer never mentioned the pricing of the Piloti Ferrari special edition.
