The book publishing house Taschen has announced the forthcoming release of a book dedicated to the famous Italian car manufacturer Ferrari. It is going to be titled “Il Fascino Ferrari” and issued in a limited series priced at U.S. $6,000 and above.
Two variants are going to be available, the Art Edition and the Collector’s Edition. The former will ship in a batch of just 250 copies, bundled with a chrome-coated book holder shaped like the V12. Whether the latter is going to be available separately hasn’t been announced yet. The Collector’s Edition is going to feature an aluminum cover shaped like the lid of a V12.
The book will ship encased in red leather and consist of at least 480 pages manually bound together. It will contain unique photos, drawings, and sketches obtained from Ferrari archives and private collections.
This is not the first publication dedicated to the legendary Italian automobile company. A unique 850-page volume weighing almost 40 kg / 85 lb went under the hammer last spring, fetching its former owner a record-breaking sum of U.S. $175,000.
