If you think the most expensive car in the world is the Bugatti Chiron or something off the Rolls-Royce or Bentley shelf, you’ve got it dead wrong. The title was long ago claimed by the resplendent 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta! An example went under the hammer last year for an unthinkable sum of €41,600,000. It is therefore unsurprising that car-tuning company Ares Design decided to build a supercar inspired by the award-winning 250 GTO.
More precisely, the designers will develop an all-new body kit for the Ferrari 812 Superfast. The modern headlights will give way to classical round ones, and the radiator grille plus the bumpers will imitate those of the iconic GTO.
Based on the first teaser images, the car will also get the trademark GTO side gills, vertically-stacked rear lights, the same shape of gas tank lid, and more.
Ares Design will most likely release 10 or fewer copies of their Ferrari 250 GTO lookalike, each priced at €1,000,000 or above.
