Leaked: Ferrari working on two spider cars

Thanks to a VIP client of Ferrari, who was kind enough to show us paperweights bearing the silhouettes of two unreleased supercars, we can get some insight into what the Italian luxury marque is currently doing.

The paperweights bear the inscriptions ‘V12 Spider’ and ‘V8 Spider’. While none of these have been officially confirmed by Ferrari, rumors now abound that the V12 will debut early next week, and the V8 will follow on September 24, 2019.

It has to be said that both sketches actually strongly remind us of the Ferrari 812 Superfast and the Ferrari F8 Tributo, sans top. If the rumors are confirmed and the cars indeed make it into actual production, then chances are good they will get the same engines and tech as their coupe counterparts. Specifically, the alleged V12 Spider will get a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 800 PS (588 kW), while the V8 Spider will end up with a 3.9-liter V8 rated at 720 PS (530 kW).
