The new Ferrari 812 GTS is the world’s most powerful roadster

Ferrari has revealed the technical specifications of its upcoming roadster model called the 812 GTS. The car packs a V-shaped, 12-cylinder engine rated at 800 PS (590 kW) and 718 Nm (530 pound-feet) of torque.

The supercar features a front-engine layout and sports a slightly different front fascia compared to its 812 Coupe counterpart. The pillars are reinforced, and there is a glass partition wall situated directly behind the seats, which the manufacturer claims helps reduce engine noise. The partition is power-assisted, which means you can lower it with a push of a button and listen to the unmuted V12 roar.

According to the Italian luxury carmaker, the convertible sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than three seconds, gets 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 8.3 seconds and maxes out at 340 km/h (211 mph).

Folding and unfolding the roof automatically takes 14 seconds. Due to its retractable top, the Ferrari 812 GTS weighs 75 kilograms (165 lbs) above the coupe version. To support the extra weight, the manufacturer introduces a number of chassis and suspension tweaks.
