Jay Kay’s vintage Ferrari 330 goes up on sale for $1M+

Sotheby’s will soon be holding an auction for a 51-year-old Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Shooting Brake that was built by the Vignale tuning atelier. The car once belonged to the famous musician and singer Jay Kay and was later acquired by the Petersen Automotive Museum (Los-Angeles, USA).

The starting price exceeds U.S. $1,000,000.

This particular Ferrari had initially been built for one Luigi Cinetti, whose father imported Italian cars into the United States at the time. Its design is courtesy of Bob Peak, a famous painter and creator of thousands of Hollywood movie posters.

Vignale started with a production copy of the Ferrari 330 GT. They have reworked its body completely, only leaving the doors and the windshield intact.

The Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Shooting Brake comes powered by a 4.0-liter, 12-cylinder engine with 300+ hp (225+ kW). It needs 6.3 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph).
