A six-liter V12 Tipo F140B engine built for the legendary Ferrari Enzo will be auctioned off in December. The block, which was reportedly never removed from its shipping crate, is an exceptionally rare find and should therefore command a price between $200,000 and $300,000.
Ferrari put the six-liter mill into its Enzo supercar back in the 2000s (see video). It then used similar engine designs in many other vehicles, including the LaFerrari hybrid capable of exceeding 950 horsepower (700 kW).
This particular engine was shipped in a wooden box from Maranello to a dealership in Copenhagen. It was supposed to be installed into a car instead of a broken engine, but ended up unused for some reason. The shipment included the air intakes and the necessary mounting hardware.
The seller claims that the block can be perfect for building a unique supercar with it or adding to a themed collection.
