Watch Ferrari and Maserati legends duke it out on a 402-meter drag strip

The Petersen Automotive Museum has once again set up a race among rare and valuable supercar classics, putting a Ferrari Enzo up against a Maserati MC12 and throwing in a Ferrari F12 for good measure.

The Enzo draws its power from a V12 normally rated at 660 PS (651 hp / 485 kW), The Maserati uses the same cylinder configuration, but gets 624 PS (615 hp / 459 kW) out of it. According to their OEM specifications, the former needs 3.65 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) and the latter 3.8 seconds. The top speeds amount to 350 and 330 km/h, respectively (217 and 205 mph).

But as you probably understand well by now, paper specs mean little in actual acceleration racing. Watch the video to find out which one won, and know in advance that the best quarter-mile time shown among the three was 13.05 seconds.
