Video: Ferrari F12 tearing down the autobahn

Is there any arguing against the fact that the Ferrari F12 exploded the entire supercar industry to bits when it debuted a decade ago? Some of you may even remember it getting Top Gear’s Supercar of the Year award, in addition to a slew of prestigious awards and nominations scored by its naturally aspirated V12.

Despite the F12’s respectable age (by the modern standards), it remains coveted by many Ferrari fans, and still manages to impress with its sheer force of straight-line acceleration. A recent video by AutoTopNL has plenty of that goodness.

At its launch date, this F12 packed 740 PS (730 hp / 544 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque, snapping off the line and to 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 3.1 seconds. In the video, the supercar accelerates down a limit-free autobahn in Germany until it reaches 322 km/h (200 miles per hour) with apparent effortlessness and on its first try. Towards the end of the vide, the speedometer shows 337 km/h (209.4 mph), just a touch below the manufacturer-rated maximum of 340 km/h (211 mph).
