$6-8M buys you Schumacher’s indomitable F1 racer

Michael Schumacher’s legendary Formula 1 racecar that he drove to victory four times in 1998 alone will go on sale soon estimated between six and eight million USD.

Owned by the Scuderia Ferrari racing team, it is the seventh out of nine F300 Series vehicles built. Its chassis number is 187. Schumacher scored his first victory behind the wheel in Canada in June 1998, marking his seventh race and second win that year. He then proceeded to win the Grand Prix in France later that month, in the UK in July, and in Italy in September.

With the above in view, this is Ferrari’s only Formula racecar in history to have participated in at least three events and won them all. The listing calls it the company’s most successful chassis ever.

Back in the time, the F300 came equipped with a 3.0-liter Tipo 047 engine, a then-groundbreaking V10 with 80 ° cylinder camper and 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) at the output end. The innovative mill could rev up to insane 17,500 RPM while driving the wheels through a seven-speed sequential transmission.
