Bring a Trailer is currently offering a 1998 Ferrari F355 Spider that allegedly once belonged to basketball star, none other than the legendary Shaquille O’Neal.
Most notably, the car has a special cabin enlarged to accommodate the 7’1” (216cm) tall NBA legend. This necessitated moving the fuel tank from behind the seats to the front end of the car. Removing the roof enabled moving the seats back for that much-needed extra bit of space. The seats themselves are built-to-order and bear Superman’s badges on the headrests.
Powering the unique Ferrari is a 3.5-liter V8 rated at 375 PS (370 hp / 276 kW) and 268 Nm (198 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed manual transmission takes the Spider from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under five seconds, and then all the way up to 295 km/h (183 mph).
The current highest bid is $45,000, but the auction will only close in five days, so the final price will be interesting to look at.
