The Ferrari F430 is primarily famous for the unique metallic whine produced by its high-RPM naturally aspirated V8. However, while the soundtrack and the performance are arguably above criticism, driving comfort is not.
When U.S.-based entrepreneur Terry Nguyen bought this 2005 Ferrari, he felt like making it more driver-friendly. This involved swapping the standard suspension out for a modern air-ride design and lowering it as far as it would go. He also replaced the stock wheels with 20-inch BBS LM Forged rims that proved a perfect fit for their respective arches.
Continuing to search for an optimum balance between equipment and curb weight, Terry installed Recaro Pole Position seats, Sadistic Iron Werks door handles and door panels taken from the official F430 Challenge package. He rounded things off with an Audio Dynamics subwoofer and speakers.
The result is a car that not only looks up-to-date even now, but is also a pleasure to drive. On a related note, Ferrari itself has recently given up trying to monetize its ‘minimalistic interior’ philosophy lately, yielding to the demands of the market overflowing with similarly performing, yet much better-trimmed luxury vehicles.
