A U.S.-based car dealership has announced sale of a unique Ferrari F50 test mule, which participated in several international automotive shows in the 1990s and is present on many photos from those days.
The vehicle has “No. 99999” written on the chassis and only slightly over 2,200 kilometers (~1,370 miles) on the odometer. Its selling price is not public information.
The hood cover opens to reveal a 4.7-liter V12 engine with 520 hp (388 kW) and a 6-speed manual transmission. The vehicle accelerates to 100 km/h (60 mph) in less than four seconds and tops out at 325 km/h (202 mph).
This particular copy of Ferrari F50 has been to Ferrari’s own Fiorano Circuit in Italy. It also went on a series of test drives on the public roads in the Maranello commune.
The car was completely restored and sold to racing driver Jacques Swaters in late 1990s. It changed owners three more times after his death in 2010.
Together with the once again restored Ferrari F50, the buyer will get a genuine certificate from Ferrari, a history excerpt for this vehicle model, and a number of exclusive accessories.
