Need Moar Carbon: Mansory frills up the Ferrari F8 Spider

In professional motorsports, carbon fiber is commonly used to minimize the weight of racecars. However, the iconic status of the lightweight material compels drivers worldwide to slap it onto their rides for no good reason other than to get that unique look. As always in such cases, Mansory is eager to help with its newly revealed “soft” body kit for the Ferrari F8 Spider.

The “soft” part means that you are supposed to put the carbon bits on top of the OEM bodywork, without any replacements or removals made. This includes a front splitter, a rear spoiler and diffuser, side canards and other small details. Everything rocks that characteristic “naked carbon” look and comes adorned with vivid yellow accents that make the Spider look fresh and different from stock. Nothing is being said about aerodynamic performance (who needs that, anyway?), and the added carbon actually makes the topless supercar heavier than before, if only marginally.

Also on offer on Mansory’s side are dual-five-spoke wheels designed in the house, sized 21” front and 22” rear. Should you wish it, the tuner will also bolster engine output to 880 PS (868 hp / 647 kW) and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque. Tuned like this, the Spider will need mere 2.6 seconds to zap from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph).

All options are available for the F8 Tributo coupe as well.
