Weird Ferrari test mule spied testing

The Frankencar sports a 488 GTB-like body, SF90-like headlamps and SF90-style tailpipes that go with GTB-style single-section taillights – with a mixture like this, one doesn’t need the yellow “Hybrid” stickers throughout the body to believe it’s a hybrid.

Just what could it be, though? The Maranello-based automaker unveiled its first hybrid – the V12-packing LaFerrari hypercar – back in 2013. The SF90 Stradale also became compatible with wall socket charging a year ago when it also traded its superior engine for a V8. As for the mysterious coupe on the racetrack, it appears to utilize a brand-new V6.

We likely won’t learn much until the car debuts in two years’ time or so. Ferrari expects to have around 60 percent of its range electrified by then, notably omitting the Portofino and the Roma. The F8 Tributo will be among the first new Ferraris to go part-electric, so it just might be what we saw testing on track today.
