Video: Novitec’s ultra-powerful Ferrari F8 Tributo goes on a test drive

It is always interesting to observe tuners compete with car manufacturers for attention. Even as the world is waiting for a no-holds-barred version of the F8 Tributo, Novitec seems to be telling us that stock cars aren’t that exciting, even if they are a Ferrari.

The tuning package the German aftermarket vendor has in store for the Prancing Horse raises itspower output from 720 to 802 PS (710 – 791 hp, 530 – 590 kW). The torque goes up from 770 to 898 Nm (568 – 662 lb-ft). Bolstered like this, the coupe blasts off to hit 100 km/h (62 miles per hour) mere 2.6 seconds after the launch, and proceeds to max out at 340 km/h (211 mph).

Aside from the power upgrade, the package contains an Inconel exhaust with gold plating for heat dissipation, and wheels 21-22 inches large coming in a variety of designs. Those willing to take things to the max are invited to browse a list of carbon fiber body kit parts, ranging from front splitter to rear wing.

Watch the full 16-minute long video to see just how capable the Ferrari is even when driving on wet asphalt.
