3D-printed body kit underway for Ferrari F8 Tributo

U.S.-based car tuner 1016 Industries continues looking into the opportunities of using 3D printing technology to produce carbon fiber parts for supercars. The latest prototype targets the Ferrari F8 Tributo, and could cost north of $46,600.

The company claims that the so-called Rampante kit is as efficient as it is stylish thanks to rigorous wind tunnel testing. Another advantage comes in the form of installation and removal ease: all parts can be mounted on existing OEM points without permanent body damage.

Included in the package are a front splitter, side skirts, a rear wing, a rear diffuser, and special inserts for the front bumper, headlights and air intakes. Paying extra will land you with a different exhaust system. An ECU remap for the V8 under the hood is on the to-do list as well, but there is no launch date estimate.
