Ferrari FXX engine underway to auction

A Ferrari V12 block is slated to go on sale at the end of this month, evidently meant to be used as an element of house décor or a tuning component.

Originally found in the FXX supercar, the block offers 6.3 liters of displacement and has twelve cylinders installed at a camber angle of 65 degrees. Per the standard, its output amounts to 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) at 8,500 RPM. Essentially, it is an evolutionary step forward from the Ferrari Enzo engine.

The mill on sale comes in full original packaging, and the seller claims it has never been installed on a car. It was originally purchased as a spare engine for a Ferrari FXX K (see video). The standard attachments are included.

The auction holder reckons that the selling price could lie within the range of £200,000–£350,000. The manufacturing date is stated as ‘mid-2000s’ without further specifics.
