RM Sotheby’s will hold an auction dedicated to a unique Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta in Arizona, USA, on January 17, 2019. The open-top, hybrid-powered supercar is expected to fetch up to 8,500,000 USD.
Ferrari has only ever released 210 such cars. This particular copy sports a black body interspersed with red accents and wearing a carbon aero kit. A hybrid powertrain represented by a 6.3-liter, 12-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor sets it in motion. With 963 horsepower (718 kilowatts) under the hood, the car accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in three seconds flat.
This Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta convertible was the last one to be sold in the entire production batch. Its buyer paid almost 10,000,000 USD for it in 2017 and proceeded to drive it for almost 2,400 kilometers (1,500 miles).
