Skateboarder Tyshawn Jones only missed the Ferrari Monza SP2 by a few inches as he leapt over it on a New York City street the other day. The car is worth several million dollars and is a collector’s rarity.
During the stunt, Jones took a decent run-up and then jumped over the car parked across the road. The car belongs to Steven Victor, a music publisher.
The experiment was a success. Had something gone wrong, the subsequent repairs would have cost a pretty penny considering that the SP2 Spider started from $2,000,000 new and has only crawled upwards since.
The Monza model debuted five years ago in single-seat (SP1) and two-seat (SP2) variants. It runs on Ferrari 812 Superfast underpinnings and uses its V12 capable of 810 PS (800 hp / 796 kW). Only 499 units were made.
