The facelifted 2021 Ferrari Portofino convertible has been discovered out in the open. Its appearance reminds us of the newly revealed and technically related Roma coupe.
Judging by the photos, the car gets new LED-based headlights, a redesigned front bumper, and a new radiator grille.
No technical details are available right now. Both the Portofino and Roma come powered by the same 3.9-liter V8 engine model, but the Roma manages to get 620 PS (611 kW, or 456 kW) out of it, while its open-top counterpart makes do with 600 PS (592 hp, or 441 kW). The torque amounts to 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) in both cases.
The convertible needs 3.5 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph), while the coupe is marginally faster than that with 3.4 s. Both can achieve 320+ km/h (200+ mph) going in a straight line.
Chances are good that the refreshed Portofino series will switch from its current pre-selective 7-speed DCT to the eight-speed transmission used by the Roma. It will likely retain its RWD system, carbon-ceramic brakes, and optional loud exhaust system. The electronic differential lock and a new traction control system should be available as options.
The refreshed Ferrari Portofino should celebrate its premiere later on in the year.
