We all know that Ferrari is busy working on its very first SUV, the Purosangue. Early test mules have repeatedly been spotted by the camera-wielding throng, and this latest example has been filmed up close on video in Germany.
The prototype still wears a Maserati Levante body, but if you look closely at its rear end, you will see tailpipes running down the sides. There are also other minor changes that suggest it’s none other than the Purosangue in disguise.
When it hits the showrooms, the SUV will be based on a new proprietary platform with a wider track and heaps of engine power. Ferrari said earlier that it would debut in multiple performance variants, including V6 and V8-based ones. A V12-based hybrid is not out of the question, either, although it remains to be confirmed.
The premiere is scheduled for 2022.
