Ferrari Purosangue set to debut on September 13

Only a week remains until the launch of Ferrari’s very first crossover SUV, the Purosangue. The company posted a teaser pic of the car and confirmed that the reveal will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022.

It is official that the model gets a naturally aspirated V12 and comes out in a limited production run. Specifically, the company plans to dedicate only 20 percent of its total annual production volume to the Purosangue.

The Italian automaker has also restated its resentment to the ‘SUV’ moniker, once again calling it an FUV (Ferrari Utility Vehicle). If the recent spy shots are any indication, then more than anything it looks like a high-riding hatchback (i.e., cross-hatch).

Out of the remaining details, we know on official terms that the vehicle has AWD and air-ride suspension listed under basic equipment. It also comes based on a tech platform optimal for hybrid cars, for what it’s worth. The transmission uses a dual-clutch mechanism, and the spacious cabin accommodates four people.
