Ferrari Purosangue shows up on the street just ahead of premiere

Ferrari will be revealing its very first crossover SUV – that it insists on calling an FUV, for ‘Ferrari Utility Vehicle’ – within the next 24 hours. Still, it wouldn’t hurt looking at the prototype once again, right?

The ‘pure-blooded’ soft-roader does seem to have more high-riding hatchback genes than SUV ones. The camouflage is still thick, but you can catch glimpses of the signature Ferrari red in certain spots if you look closely. There is also a four-pipe exhaust system with tips grouped at the corners of the rear bumper.

It is official that the car uses the company’s signature V12, but its specifications remain to be revealed. Rumors also claim the whole architecture is new, with air-ride suspension and two driven axles. We will be seeing soon enough whether they are true!

Ferrari said earlier that the Purosangue would not become a mass-market model. The sales will begin in early 2023, but only 20 percent of the company’s annual production volume will be dedicated to the FUV.
