German tuner DMC has presented its own take on the Ferrari Purosangue. The car that the Maranello HQ adamantly refuses to call an SUV ended up with DMC Velocita 24-inch forged rims sporting Y-spokes and a carbon-fiber body kit widening the fenders by 30 mm (1.2 inches) on either side.
Also included in the kit are carbon side skirts and TÜV-certified spoilers mounted on the roof and the rear end. The same lightweight material provides the basis for the front splitter, the hood and the rear diffuser while looking indistinguishable from stock. The company says buyers can choose between matte and gloss and purchase either the full package at once or individual parts. Rounding off the mods is a valve-controlled titanium exhaust system designed ZESAD GmbH specifically for the Purosangue project.
The first production cars are expected to ship next year. To ensure that the body kit fits like a glove, DMC obtained one car and scanned it using a high-resolution 3D scanner. With a scanning resolution of 0.2 mm (less than 0.008 inches), this approach eliminates the possibility of panel gaps.
