The Ferrari Roma (see video) landed on its domestic market in November 2019. Rumors that an open-top variant was in development emerged soon after the premiere, but had stayed unfounded until today. Now, the car has finally appeared on public roads.
These six low-quality photos of a heavily camouflaged speedster are all we have, unfortunately. Still, it looks like the vehicle will be nearly identical to its coupe counterpart, sans the roof. Professional spy photographers allegedly told Motor1.com that they were able to discern the Roma’s signature headlights, taillights and body outlines.
The one thing that betrays the speedster nature of the test vehicle is its starkly different roofline. As for the power, you will be safe to expect the same 4.0-liter V8 toiling under the hood for 620 PS (612 hp / 456 kW) and 761 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque.
The standard Roma coupe is set to receive a mid-generational refresh next year that will also bring modest improvements to its tech. Perhaps then Ferrari will also reveal the Speedster.
