It only took one minute and 29.625 seconds for a Ferrari SF90 Stradale to lap up the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, USA, setting a new record in the production car category.
The part-electric supercar was able to reach a top speed of 280.9 km/h (174.5 mph) at the 2.438-mile (3,925-meter) long track. This was largely made possible thanks to its four-liter twin-turbo V8 being assisted by triple electric motors for 1,000 PS (986 hp / 735 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) total. Outfitted as such, the car needs 2.5 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph), 6.7 seconds for 200 km/h (124 mph), and maxes out at 340 km/h (211 mph).
An upgrade package called the Assetto Fiorano must have contributed to the result as well. Ferrari offers a carbon body kit, a titanium exhaust system, improved suspension and a few other high-end components with the upgrade.
