Ferrari reports record sales

Ferrari has reported selling 11,155 cars in 2021, a roughly 10% increase over 2019 when it crossed the 10,000 unit mark for the first time and a 22.3% bump over 2020.

China, Hong Kong and Taiwan led the growth with +97%, but in absolute terms, only 899 vehicles found new owners across these markets. Sales were the liveliest in Europe, Africa and Middle East with 5,492 units, a 14% increase over the previous year. USA was responsible for most of the remaining sales.

The Ferrari F8, Roma and SF90 Stradale led the ratings. Eight-cylinder models found 34% more buyers than the year before, while the V12 segment lost 16% year-to-year. Ferrari explains that the latter is due to the 812 Superfast model dropping out of production, rather than a popularity shift.

In terms of profitability, the Italian automaker earned €4.27 billion in 2021, including €3.57 from sales of cars and car parts.
