The owner of this Ferrari SF90 Stradale had only put 290 km (180 miles) on it before destroying it in a crash, and repairs could cost as much as $1 million.
The crash saw the entire front clip of the Stradale gone with major damage seen at the sides and rear, too. The entire body looks battered, and all the airbags have gone off.
Damage has most likely spread to the chassis as well, but it looks like the four-liter V8 mated to three electric motors could have survived unscathed. The car is in Los-Angeles right now.
The SF90 Stradale debuted three years ago (see video), becoming the Italian marque’s first plug-in hybrid in history. It produces 1,000 horsepower and needs 2.5 seconds for the standard sprint. The top speed reaches as high as 340 km/h (211 mph).
A couple of years ago, Ferrari introduced an open-top variant of the SF90 named Spider. The car has a folding metallic top that makes it heavier, but its dynamic performance stays nearly identical to the coupe version.
