Fiat has developed a special version of its Fullback pickup vehicle to be used by the Italian crime police department called Polizia Scientifica.
In this new version, Fiat Fullback ditched its cargo platform in favor of a spacious metallic cage equipped with a number of shelves, niches and equipment attachment points.
The car now possesses a 150-horsepower diesel turbo and an all-wheel drive system. The company only plans to produce 15 police-oriented Fiat Fullbacks for the time being.
It should be mentioned that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. has a long history of cooperation with the national law enforcement agencies. To date, the Italian police force has been actively using such Fiat cars as Panda, Punto, and Tipo, the Jeep Renegade crossover, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatchback and – perhaps most surprisingly – even the 510-horsepower Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde sedan.
