Mattel, the manufacturer of the original Barbie doll, has found a creative way to advertise its $30 Barbie toy car using a Fiat 500, lots of glitter, and a booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2021.
The cabin is the only place where you can still find cues hinting that there is a Fiat 500 buried under all the girly mascara. The trim is all pink, there is a Barbie logo on the steering wheel hub, and a dog’s swimming pool resides in the back.
On the outside, the car looks like a sporty roadster with star-shaped headlamps, fancy swan-wing doors, and rainbow-colored wheels.
You cannot buy the one-off example on display in LA right now, but there is always that $30 toy car option.
