Abarth’s first all-electric car shots leak online ahead of premiere

The Abarth New 500 will debut on November 22 as a three-door electric hatchback with Fiat 500e underpinnings and the aftermarket company’s first EV in portfolio. In the meantime, someone has nabbed the car during an ad shoot and posted the pics online.

The vivid lemon-colored hatchback has a special front end with the word ‘Abarth’ on it, a prominent bumper with sparce cellular mesh inserts, and a white lower bumper insert. The sides sport the company’s signature graphics.

Elsewhere, Abarth’s first EV rides on larger wheels sporting an unusual design and has side sill extensions. Some of the body panels are painted black for contrast. Nothing is known about the technical parameters so far.

In its top spec, the Fiat 500e churns out 118 PS (116 hp / 87 kW). It needs nine seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 150 km/h (93 mph). A mild performance improvement, tweaked suspension and heavy-duty brakes could all make the list in the Abarth version, but we will have to wait until the official reveal.
